Blog Status

No I will not be joining the free Gucci Mane campaign.

In other news, blogging takes time, that’s why it tends to be done by losers. I am slightly distracted by other things. I’m flat hunting and job hunting simultaneously so blogs will be kept to a minimum.

Don’t fret, my twitter game is next level right now. So go on over and see tweets ranging from the banal to the banal. I will be posting things about secret spots in London, unusual people and pictures, tons of pictures. (I hate the word tweeting.)

I’ll leave you with this Rick Ross parody video, one of the best that the internet has seen in a long time.

Crescendolls

ODB once said "Wu Tang is for the Children".
Trick Daddy said "We love the Kids" (Although he also came up with the idea of nightcare, where a women could drop off her baby before she went to the club and then could pick it up after her night out.)
And like every politician in the world we at Stakes is High believe that the kids are the future. Well the future lies over at Outlandish Grandeur. Run by the excellent trio of Michael, Truce and Martell. The blog highlights the best in music, art, fashion and even poetry. They definitely have their fingers on the pulse.
Check it out.

The Deep End

Old people tend to complain about the lack of mystique surrounding modern day musicians. And im not talking about the influences of Lady Gaga. With myspace, facebook, blogs, flickr and twitter, you can pretty much keep up with the everyday movements of your favourite stars. To be honest i respect celebrities that use twitter, not in the mundane everyday way but to occasionally raise a contentious issue. Then again, the majority of those who embrace this new technology know that it is mainly just a lark. For instance take this tumblr account detailing DJ Diplo’s famous peace out hand gesture. Well worth three minutes of your time. Much more exciting that watching a Pimpin Curly or even an Annie Lennox diatribe on the environment.
