In May this year M.I.A announced that she was releasing her own clothing line. Why not? She has posed for Marc Jacobs. She has a unique dress sense. The kids idolise her. Why should low level rappers be the only ones to branch out.
It may not be my type of thing but people obviously like that abstract bright, colourful, afrikkan print type deal.

Then Came the prices. the tee shirt above is $75. I may feel that is unbelievable but bearing in mind most of her demographic would probably download her album she has to get some money some how. Tank tops cost $65 and hoodies cost $180. If you got it good for you but jesus really?

So as her success continues to grow in the US will people change their minds about paying that much cash for her clothing line? I doubt it but hey more power to her.
