Old people tend to complain about the lack of mystique surrounding modern day musicians. And im not talking about the influences of Lady Gaga. With myspace, facebook, blogs, flickr and twitter, you can pretty much keep up with the everyday movements of your favourite stars. To be honest i respect celebrities that use twitter, not in the mundane everyday way but to occasionally raise a contentious issue. Then again, the majority of those who embrace this new technology know that it is mainly just a lark. For instance take this tumblr account detailing DJ Diplo’s famous peace out hand gesture. Well worth three minutes of your time. Much more exciting that watching a Pimpin Curly or even an Annie Lennox diatribe on the environment.
