Kick Ya Foot Up

The Video for Major Lazer’s Hold The Line is out. Hold the line is the best song of this year. Granted this has been a pretty bad year in terms of music but this is a stellar track. From the opening tones reminiscent of old movie Westerns to the random vocal samples (phones, horses neighing, birds tweeting and the sultry "come ‘ere") to the great vocals provided by Lexx and Santogold sorry I meant Santigold. She is quite possible the most consistent musician in the world at the moment. That is a compliment.

Also I would like to add the video is fantastic. Those of you well versed in the Mad Decent Podcasts will recognise the frenetic video sampling. Add to that a cartoon which shows Major Lazer (victim of the Zumbie Wars thus why he has a Lazer for an arm) fighting vampires. Add to that the section which features Major Lazer action figures (cough- Birthday present idea – cough). Either way enjoy that and your sat night Sunday madness.
