Miike Snow : Burial Video

Between new iphone and flat search, the blog has been neglected a bit.

So to make up for it here is the official Miike Snow video for Burial .

Will be keeping this simple this week, so this week will be mainly visual.

Next week, bring on the words.

Wiggle Wiggle Girl

Dear Rich Harrison,

I was reading the other day about how you have disappeared. Then three days later I hear an old Amerie off cut that sounds amazing and I saw this video. You have an incredible knack of creating amazing R and B beats, so why so long away. This girl group (Rich Girl) doesn’t actually seem that good (None of them are attractive), but that beat is crazy. It sounds like the preamble to a war film, then a quarter the way through you give up and just throw on the drums. Ohh those drums. Even the piano break is good, and I normally hate piano breaks unless it’s done by Dj Medhi. I expect the remix to have Lil Jon, Ludacris and Gucci Mane on it. Either way don’t drop off too long, the game done missed you.

Cheers,

Eyeshot.

P.s Ginuwine is working with Timbaland again.

"Kicking and Screaming" The Presets

Doesn’t the video make you want to see them live. Presets are one of the best performers in the world, especially since they are duo. Don’t sleep. If they are in your area go and see them live.

People Will Be Heard

I’m really digging the Golden Silvers, funky, chill vibe with a squeeze esque singing pattern. Friend of mine saw them live and they carry this sort of mature chilled vibe onstage. Either way they are very good, try and track down the Michachu remix of this song which sends it into space, fucking around with the vocals whilst slowing the beat. That girl is mad talented.

Diskodine

EPk Wednesday, this week chocolate boy wonder Pete Rock. Creator of the best hip hop song of all time, T.R.O.Y. This album is actually quite good and features the song that made me respect Jim Jones. Either way Pete Rock has remained a true great over time.
