The great escape Part 2.
First of all the name of the mix is inspired by strokes. On Saturday I got to watch something amazing. I watched someone genuinely fall in love with the strokes.I studied her face with intent as she swayed to the beat and wondered why I along with mate where singing along to every single word. Magical moments like that in todays overblown and overhyped world are hard to come by. That and the strokes are genius.
Mix that I made for afterwards, late nightish. Imagine the scene: you have just been out and you decide to go back for an afterparty. You dont want to lose the energy from the last show you saw. Still buzzing after a good night but want something to get the party going exactly right. Throw this on. Instead of building up as I usually make my mixes its slowly winding down. And I had to put CSS on it because i was singing it to one of the most beautiful models I have ever seen in Paris on Saturday night. I know im a sucker but when powered by crepes and Swedish goteborgs rape, you find yourself in a lucky position of finding a bunch of energy to slap down one of your most technical mixes of the year. Also probably one of the few times I will use usher in a mix but to counteract that I put in two songs I have been dying to use Paul Mcartney and Mystery Jets. So enjoy.
African Passion – Heart in a cage
Feist – My Moon, My Man (Boys Noize Remix)
Cazals – Somebody Somewhere (Lifelike Remix)
Usher – Love in this club (Chief Boima African Club remix)
Wiley – Wearing My Rolex
Kid Cudi – Day ‘N’ Night (Crookers Remix)
Sinden and Count – Beeper
Uffie – Robot Oeuf
Paul Mcartney – Temporary Secretary (Radioclit Remix)
Annie – I Think Your Girlfriend Hates Me (The Shakes Remix)
CSS – Let’s Make Love and Listen to Death From Above (Spankrock Remix)
