We are the people!

I often forget to post about the music that i have been bumping since i live in the blogsphere and being first is what it is all about. But what about those who have jobs and lives? You guys dont have the time to trawl through spandau ballet's greatest hits to find unknown gems.

So here is a series of artists that i believe will have a big impact this year.

I have mentioned the Empire of the Sun album. But this year will finally see its real release and believe me it is worth it. With a general lack of creativity in music right now it's great to say that a band has meshed together two genres that came together perfectly in a crappy made bootleg. The Fleetwood Mac song Never Forget was meshed (poorly) with a Lifelike remix and created a even more floaty, ethereal mac song. As if Stevie and the gang strapped on some rocket boots and moonwalked whilst high.

Empire of The Sun is a supergroup that easily eclipses the work of the predecessor bands. Pnau are ok but the eponymous album is beautifully crafted. Walking on a dream and Standing on a Shore are highlights and as song titles give you a good idea of what the songs are like.
