I love food, who doesn’t? Here are some pics of the delights I had in DC. Including Filet mignon, steak diane, slurpee, Ben’s Chilli Bowl and Mole Chicken. The mole chicken is the best because it is sounds like a fat man’s dream. Chocolate chicken, instead its actually quite sophisticated and with plantains and rice it’s easily a winner.

Bubble Gum
Apples are my favourite fruit. I guess plantains don’t count. Are they a fruit or a vegetable? Who cares?
p.s Why do all Deal or No Deal contestants look like they put their clothes on in the dark.

Crawling Up The Wall
It has been a while since we have had a recipe on here, not really my fault since I am broke.
Well this week sees me make Latkes. Or as I like to call them (insert crappy Boston Irish accent a la Ray Winstone in The Departed) Potato Pancakes. Associated with Jewish, Czech, German and Polish cuisine, they are a simple side to make as either appetisers or with the main meal. If that many cultures are laying claim to it then it has to be good right?
Latkes
Ingredients
Potatoes, Flour, Onion and Eggs. All relatively cheap and remember you should have them at all times since they are versatile.
peel an onion and then add it to the mixture.
Then peel and grate and onion. Mix Them together.
Crack two eggs and add them to the mixture. Bind well.
Then grab and pan, heat up some oil. Add the mix a spoon full at a time.
Read some pretentious art magazine that you got for free. Then look at the fact that it cost 4.50 (!) and wonder if you can sell it on the streets.
Couple of minutes on each side, keep on low heat if you are going to fuck around and do other things. Drain with paper towels.
Serve with ketchup. Actually if done properly, you could have this with a pork chop and apple sauce.
The good thing about them is that if you make a ton, they make great hangover food.

Healer
Anyway it reminded me of the Superbowl party that me and my bro had. We were supposed to have more people come over but due to the snow - no one bothered going out at 1 in the morning.
Stakes is High Guide to throwing a good Superbowl party aka make good salsa.
Step one: Have a Steven Segal movie playing in the background. I happened to have Exit Wounds on.
Step two: heat up the avocados to make 'em ripe. They are a foreign fruit and it's unlike this snow is gonna get them soft.
Step three: Here are the ingredients needed. Onion, Tomatoes, Avocado,Lime, Salt and Peppa and a Laptop to listen to Chromatics album whilst cooking.
Step four: Chop all of it coarsely (the posh for lazy) then put in half a lime worth of juice. Season accordingly.
Step five: Enjoy the food. That was a photo of the final spread minus pizza. And yes that is a keg on the table.
